What is Jev AI?
Jev AI (often searched as "What is jev AI?") is the System One decision model from TypeSafe AI. It returns fast, typed decisions for agents — Choice, Score, and Noul — instead of free-form chat text. The core idea is "Decisions not strings". This host currently runs Jev 1.14 (typesafe/jev-1.14.0 on Cloudflare Workers AI); existing Choice / Score / Noul API clients need no changes, and prepaid pricing is unchanged.
What is TypeSafe AI?
TypeSafe AI is the company behind Jev and System One Models. It builds decision-focused models for software, not general chatbots. Official product site: typesafe.ai.
Is Jev a replacement for ChatGPT style LLMs?
No. Jev is not a full replacement for general purpose LLMs. It is built for structured decision tasks. Most agent architectures use Jev together with general LLMs.

What are the Visual Editor, Batch, and Templates features?
The Visual Decision Editor (/editor) lets you build Choice / Score / Noul rules without raw JSON. Templates (/templates) ship official scenarios and private copies for prepaid users. Batch (/batch) runs many state rows with the same rules. Free accounts can save up to 2 projects and batch up to 5 rows; any prepaid pack unlocks Starter limits (100-row batches, private templates, bulk JSON export); large packs / balances unlock Pro high-volume batches. Existing /api/v1/decide integrations are unchanged.
What do platform credits buy? Am I buying model neurons or raw API tokens?
Your platform credits unlock access to our web tool features including state visualization, schema editor, saved sessions, template library and result export. You are purchasing access to our software service, not raw model API tokens or neurons.
Can I use this service for confidential data?
We do not recommend uploading sensitive, private or confidential information. Inference is processed by an upstream AI provider and is subject to their terms and privacy policy.
What is the difference between System One and System Two in AI?
System One (Jev) is built for fast, consistent decision making. System Two refers to generative LLMs built for flexible reasoning and writing. Many agent stacks combine both.
Can I replace GPT / Claude with Jev?
No. Jev is a specialized decision model. It cannot replace general LLMs. They complement each other in agent pipelines.
Where can I get a Jev API key?
Start on /jev-api-key/ for the full flow (free trial → prepaid pack → jv_live_ → /api/v1/decide). Short path: sign in, buy a pack on Pricing, create a key on Account. Official TypeSafe waitlist and gateways (OpenRouter, Vercel AI Gateway, Cloudflare AI) remain alternatives if you need raw upstream credentials.
Official TypeSafe / Jev signup is closed or waitlisted — what can I do?
Many developers cannot get an official TypeSafe key right now. This unofficial community host sells prepaid tokens and issues jv_live_ keys for our hosted decide API and product tools — so you can keep building agent routing, scoring, and moderation without waiting on the official waitlist. We are not affiliated with TypeSafe AI; upstream model access stays on our servers.
How much does Jev cost? Are output tokens free?
On this host, prepaid packs meter input tokens at about $0.20–$0.42 per million (see Pricing); output is free. TypeSafe’s published list price is about $0.042/M input with free output — that is raw upstream list pricing, not hosted access with instant keys.
Why is this host more expensive than TypeSafe’s $0.042/M list price?
You are paying for instant jv_live_ keys (no official waitlist), prepaid metering, hosted /api/v1/decide + batch + gate, and ready-made product templates. Upstream TypeSafe/Cloudflare keys stay on our servers — this is a convenience host, not a pass-through of list price. If you already have an official key, use TypeSafe or a gateway directly; if you need to ship today without waitlist access, this host is the product.
Can I get a refund on prepaid tokens?
Try free anonymous tool runs and the monthly grant after sign-in before buying. Tokens do not expire while your account is active, so you can use a small $5–$20 pack at your own pace. Consumed capacity is not refunded. Unused prepaid balances are generally non-refundable once purchased (change of mind or dislike of model outputs), except where law requires or a Stripe charge fails/reverses — see Terms. Wrong pack size? Email support; we can often help with failed payments or clear billing mistakes.
Do prepaid tokens expire?
No. Prepaid input tokens stay on your account while the account remains active. There is no monthly burn-down of prepaid balance. Start with a small pack if you want to validate integration first.
Can I download Jev model weights and run Jev locally on my own hardware?
No. At present Jev is API-only service. There are no public downloadable model weights for local self-host deployment. All inference runs on cloud.
What are Choice, Score and Noul primitives inside Jev?
They are three core question types for Jev API request. Choice selects options from predefined list; Score returns graded rating value; Noul returns yes-or-no probability judgement.
