Jev agent skill
An agent skill is a reusable playbook: when to call Jev, which questions to ask, and how to branch. Use it in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or any loop that can invoke HTTP/MCP tools.
What the skill should do
Three high-ROI hooks: (1) tool-call risk gate before shell/file writes, (2) model-routing choice (fast vs frontier), (3) context keep/drop for long sessions. Each is one decide call with fixed criteria.
Minimal skill checklist
Require JEV_API_KEY, default to fail-closed on transport errors, log decision IDs, and never let the generative model rewrite your criteria map mid-flight.
Example risk gate
Send a short description of the pending action as state:
{
"state": "Agent wants to run: git push --force origin main",
"questions": {
"allow": {
"type": "noul",
"instructions": "Is this safe to auto-approve without a human?"
},
"risk": {
"type": "score",
"instructions": "Operational risk",
"levels": 4
}
}
}Next steps on this host
Try the pattern in /tools/ (agent-risk templates), create a key on /jev-api-key/, then wire MCP or a skill file that calls /api/v1/decide. Unofficial independent host — not TypeSafe official.
FAQ
- Can the coding model replace Jev for gates?
- It can approximate gates in prose, but production loops need stable types and confidence. Jev is the decision layer; the coding model stays the language/planning layer.
